I first became interested in Pilates while studying dance, and later began to take Mat Pilates classes to alleviate occasional back pain. Enthusiasm and belief in the success of Pilates led me to begin Certification training for STOTT PILATES® in 2001. I completed all levels of coursework for both Mat and Equipment based Pilates, including Injures and Special Populations, and in 2006 became a Level 2 Certified Instructor.
In 2009 , I opened svosepilates studio with 2 reformers and a Pilates Stability chair.
In 2016, I was certified by Stott Pilates/ Merrithew as a Post – Rehabilitation Conditioning Specialist and an Athletic Conditioning Specialist.
With over 20 years of teaching experience with group Mat Pilates classes and Private / Semi Private Reformer/ Equipment classes, I am able to readily meet the needs of any client, regardless of age, fitness level or Pilates experience.
I believes that the STOTT PILATES® method of core strength and stability training benefits anyone and everyone. From the athlete training for a specific event to someone recovering from an injury, to anyone looking for improved core conditioning ; Pilates enhances overall conditioning, performance, and well being. Pilates is also a true Mind-Body method, requiring both focus and precision in practice.
